How to Fix Propsys.dll Errors

Propsys.dll is a dynamic link library file belonging to Microsoft Corporation’s Windows operating system.

Error Message:

RtHDVCpl.exe - Unable to locate component. This application has failed to load because PROPSYS.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Resolution:

Method 1

1. Go to Start and click Run.
2. Type in msconfig.
3. Press the OK button.
4. Go to the Startup tab.
5. Locate RtHDVCpl.exe.
6. Uncheck the box next to RtHDVCpl.exe.
7. Click Apply and OK.
8. Restart your computer.

Method 2

1. Uninstall both Realtek drivers and software.
2. Reinstall the latest version of Realtek drivers and software.

Error Message:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Corel\Shared\Shell
Extension\PropSchemaReg.exe cannot access a necessary file, propsys.dll

Resolution

Propsys.dll should be in the System32 directory. Copy this file from a clean computer and paste the dll into the System32 folder. Alternately, you may download the propsys dll from many online sites.
