Savrt32.dll is a process that belongs to Symantec Corporation’s AntiVirus AutoProtect program.
An error message may appear at Startup saying that the application has failed to start because savrt32.dll could not be found. You would also be informed that reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
If part of your problem is clearing the Quarantine folder, you could manually empty the folder by going to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition\7.5\Quarantine.
The fastest and easiest way to resolve the savrt32.dll not found error would be to upgrade or update your Symantec product.
Fix ID 1-4EELLH fixes the missing registry entry in Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.2. This issue had a missing Symantec value from the registry. This missing value could be found under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\InstalledApps key. The string value is savrt and the data leads to the Savrt32.dll file path.
This issue has been resolved by an update. The Symantec installer now includes this registry value and data. Thus, the issue would no longer occur.
