- Rename or delete nwsso.dll which may be found in
C:\Windows/System32.
- Uninstall previous versions of the Novell client for Windows.
- Make sure that nwsso.dll is not in the System32 folder.
- Custom install Novell Client 4.9.1 for Windows.
- Deselect NMAS and NICI.
- Log in to GroupWise.

If you use ConsoleOne to access a server running NICI 2.4 or greater, you must make sure that NICI 2.4 is also installed on the machine that has ConsoleOne. The errors indicated above will occur if this is not the case whenever the eDirectory is browsed.
Suggested Fix:
- Download NICI 2.4 or higher
- Apply to Windows 95/98/NT/2000 to client machines that will run ConsoleOne.
- From the dropdown menu, select Novell International Cryptographic Infrastructure.
- Search.
- Applying the file will bring NICI on the client to the same revision as that of the Netware server.
- ConsoleOne errors will be resolved.
